My roots are in South Tyneside, and this is one of a series of images taken on the coast at Marsden.
This image is one of my personal favourites. It is the 'look' of the sea that I am particularly drawn to. It seems to have an almost mist-like, yet molten quality in some places as it moves closer to the shore, moulding itself over the rocks.
These rocks are by contrast, in solid sharp focus. Their earthly colours ever so slightly tinged by the subtle tones of pinks and purples in the sky overhead.
