This image was taken early on boxing day. I had hoped to capture the bold dark shape of Bamburgh Castle against the sky as it readied itself for dawn. Beauty doesn't always take the shape we expect it to, and in this case the puddles on the beach stole the colours in the sky to adorn themselves.
