The forecast was for a strong northerly wind, and a high tide at about 7pm, so where could i go to capture this?
Well, it had to be the pier at Tynemouth. I have been at this place a number of times when there has been a strong northerly wind, and again it did not disappoint.
The seas were extremely rough and I did get soaked with spray as the waves crashed into the pier.
I think this image captures it perfectly - what this image cannot convey is the noise of the waves as they hit the pier and then turn into the majestic spray, that falls as salty rain.
