Some places you visit just exude history. The Central Arcade in Newcastle is one of those places.
It was built in 1906 as an elegant Edwardian shopping arcade, and still retains many of those beautiful features. The amazing arched roof lights and period lamp posts just add to the feeling of something designed from a different age.
The floors are beautifully tiled and the richness of the wood are great for adding character.
I had not been in the Arcade for many years, and I had forgotten how lovely it was... If you're in Newcastle why not give it a visit , you will not be disappointed.
