Iceland 2014
Route 1
Day 2 and we headed east towards the the town of Vik.
We stopped to look at the volcano Eyjafjallajökull , as we stopped i took this image looking west along Route 1. This view is typical of the landscape as you travel east, high mountains on one side of the road and flat plains on the other spreading out to the ocean
To get an idea of scale look closely for the little red roofed farm building on the hillside
